1. Complete Stock intake. Please disconnect battery terminals before installation.
2. Remove plastic battery ram air.
3. Disconnect Crank case line and remove plastic fitting. Save for later install (See step 11).
4. With 10mm wrench loosen loosen VSV valve on air box, disconnect and remove. Save for later install (See step 11).
5. With 10mm socket or wrench loosen clamps on stock intake.
6. Lift and remove upper half of air box.
7. Remove bottom half of air box.
8. With phillips screwdriver, loosen and remove MAF sensor from stock air box.
9. Install grommet to tube. With M4 screws provided secure MAF sensor to new intake tube and tighten using flathead screwdriver.
10. Install VSV valve to bracket on tube and secure using screw, flat washer, wavy washer and nut. Tighten using 10mm socket and wrench. Attach plastic fitting from step 4 to grommet on tube.
11. Attach coupling with clamps provided to throttle body. Do not tighten.
12. Install tube and position.
13. Tighten clamps using 5/16” nut driver. Connect crank case line. Connect VSV harness. Reconnect MAF sensor harness.
14. Install air filter and tighten using 5/16” nut driver.
15. Install engine cover.
16. Install plastic battery ram air.
17. The installation of your Takeda performance intake is now complete. Please check all components and retighten if necessary. Thank you for choosing Takeda!
