STEP 1. Set the emergency brake. Insert key into shift lock mechanism. With vehicle ignition off, put vehicle into gear. Remove ash tray by pressing on its face. It will pop open. Push down on lip located on top of ash tray. Ash tray will rotate out. Set aside. Next, remove the trim panel surrounding center console by releasing six (6) clips that hold it in place. Disconnect wiring that attaches the ash tray light and the cigarette lighter to the console. Set aside.
STEP 2. Remove two (2) Phillips screws located towards lower outside of dash panel. Unsnap clips around dash trim bezel-start with lower section and pull. Remove rubber tabs that hide DIN radio removal holes. Inser DIN tools and pull out radio. Radio does not have to be totally disconnected but it is more convenient to do so.
STEP 3. Working on right side of center console, remove glove box door. Remove two (2) screws in lower portion. Remove door by pulling walls of glove box in toward center of box to release. Set aside. Remove three (3) button latches which hold plastic panel below glove box in place. Let hang down.
STEP 4: Put Pro.Fit VSMTM in place along outside of radio cavity-putting it up against trim panel that runs along right side of center console. Using marking pen, mark edge of radio cavity where edge of Pro.Fit VSMTM is located. Set Pro.Fit VSMTM aside.
STEP 5. Remove panel to right of center console by removing clip/button and three (3) clips [one (1) clip toward fire wall and two (2) clips even with left side of glove box door.] Pull toward passenger side to release. Remove side panel and let hang loose. Insert Pro.Fit VSMTM into position, lining up with line marked earlier and adjusting height to suit. Mark two (2) holes, drill with 5/64 drill bit, insert screws, and tighten. Slide side trim panel into place. Trim panel should be flush with Pro.Fit VSMTM . Install hang-up cup onto Pro.Fit VSMTM. Reinstall all parts removed during installation.
This completes the installation of your Pro.Fit VSMTM.
