Removal of the Stock Air Intake System
a) Remove the three plastic fasteners that secure the air scoop. And remove it.
b) Remove the bolt securing the connector tube to the chassis, loosen the hose clamps as shown, and remove the connector tube assembly.
c) Loosen the indicated bolt, unplug the MAF connector, and remove the air filter assembly.
d) Loosen the four bolts, and remove the MAF sensor from the air filter assembly.
e) Remove the three plastic fasteners and two screws securing the inner fender, and move the fender to gain access to the inner front bumper.
f) Loosen the two indicated bolts, and remove the intake air silencer chamber.
Installation of the AEM Cold Air Intake System.
a) When installing the Short Ram Intake System, DO NOT completely tighten the hose clamps or mounting tab hardware until instructed to do so later in these instructions.
b) Bolt the adaptor to the MAF sensor using the factory bolts.
c) Install the upper pipe, with the nipple pointing down, using the supplied coupler and two hose clamps, as shown.
d) install the MAF sensor on the upper pipe using an included coupler and hose clamps, with the sensor connector facing down, as shown.
e) Install the supplied rubber isolator on the inner fender, as shown.
f) Install the middle pipe onto the MAF adaptor, using an included coupler and hose clamps.
g) Secure the pipe lower pipe to the rubber isolator using the supplied Nylock nut and washer.
