Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the O.E. muffler and tail pipe assembly.
2. Connect the intermediate pipe (53218) to the catalytic converter and clamp in place.
3. Install muffler. Clamp but do not tighten yet.
4. To install the tail pipe hangers (35103), locate a rectangular hole in the frame 3″ behind the O.E. tail pipe hanger on the frame Use the same hole on the driver’s side. Use a 3/8″ bolt and washers. Bolt the hanger to the frame using the third hole from the top of the hanger.
IMPORTANT: Move any wiring inside the frame away from the bracket so the wires do not get pinched or cut.
5. Install the passenger side (55125) and driver’s side (46990) tail pipes. Clamp loosely to the muffler. Slip on tail pipe extensions (53068), do not clamp in place yet.
6. Align the extension pipes so that each lines up at the bumper. Verify there is a minimum of 5/8″ clearance to the shocks and frame. Clamp all pipe connections starting from the front of the vehicle. Customize the tail pipe extensions if you desire with DynoMax tips or angle cut the extensions.
7. Clamp the tail pipe extensions in place.
8. Use the 2 cable ties in the dual kit to tie back brake hoses, parking brake cables, anti-lock wiring harnesses and differential vent tubes away from the exhaust pipes. Consider suspension travel when relocating the hoses and cables.
9. Start vehicle and check for leaks.
