2004-06 Nissan Titan King Cab, Crew Cab 5.6L 2 WD/4 WD Dual Exhaust Dynomax Kit Instructions

November 23rd, 2009 · No Comments

Read all instructions before starting any work.
1. Remove the old exhaust system from the truck. Use WD-40, or a similar lubricant, to aid in removing the rod hangers from the rubber isolators.
2. Install DynoMax front RH y-pipe 53313 with gasket 31540. Insert the rod hanger into the rubber isolator. Finger tighten the fasteners at this time. Install front LH crossover pipe 53314 with gasket 31540. Finger tighten the fasteners at this time. Please see system diagram.
3. Install intermediate pipe 53442. Finger tighten the front 3″ clamp. It will need to be loose enough so this pipe can be repositioned as required.
4. Install DynoMax Super Turbo muffler 17674. The muffler should be installed in a flat position with the outlet bushings at the same height. Install front clamp-on rod hanger 36422. Install the rod hanger into the OE rubber isolator on the cross member. The isolator is located above and behind the muffler inlet position. Finger tighten the clamp at this time.
5. Install DynoMax RH tail pipe 56104. Locate a rectangular opening in the RH frame toward the outlet end of tail pipe. Install hanger 35103 using fasteners from bolt kit 36363. Install 35103 using the third hole from the top on the hanger. Position a 2ı⁄₂” clamp securing the hanger to the tail pipe. Also install a 2ı⁄₂” clamp at the connection of the tail pipe to the RH muffler outlet.
6. Install DynoMax LH tail pipe 55333. Use cable ties included in the kit to tie back brake lines and the differential vent hose so that each does not contact the tail pipe. Install hanger 35103 similar to how the installation was done on the RH side. Install LH rear extension pipe 42596. Use separate 2ı⁄₂” clamps to secure the 35103 hanger and rear extension pipe to the tail pipe.
7. Beginning at the inlet end, align the exhaust system components and fully tighten all the clamps. Please see system diagram on back page of these instructions.
