Audi will join the market in 2011 with the below cars:
The Audi A3 gets to take a one-year cooldown lap, meating the changes for 2011 are minimal. Fun and functional urban transportation, Audi’s front-drive 5-door 5-passenger hatchback starts nicely with standard leather and Bluetooth availability for under $30,000. For 2011 A3 power, Audi again brings two 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engines to the party, the first runs on gasoline and offers a frisky turbocharged 200 bhp, while the other delivers award-winning “clean” diesel power and boasts 30 mpg in the city and 42 mpg on the open road.
For 2011, the A4 Quattro sedan dan wagon come to the battle with an available 8-speed Tipronic automatic transmission to enhance both acceleration and gas mileage. The A4’s only engine is a potent 2.0-liter turbocharged four. In front-drive guise, the A4 sedan enjoys a fuel-mixer CVT transmission. New last year, the 333-bhp S4 sedan, the performance jewel in the A4 crown, has been winning just about every comparison test it enters in print online.
Audi A5/S5 Cabrio
Audi A5/S5 family is still a standout collection of coupes and convertibles. The reasons are simple, they look like heaven, feel like luxury and handle impressively with standard Quattro all-wheel drive. The V-6 is dropped from the A5 line for 2011, but the remaining engine a 211-bhp 2.0-liter turbo 4-cylinder, offers 259 lb.-ft. of accelerative torque and helps keep the price down. The big-gun S5 models carry over with a 354-bhp V-8 in the coupe and 333-bhp supercharged V-6 in the Cabriolet.
From the elegant, aggresive Audi front grille and sumptuous interior to the power and poise offered up by the lineup of V-6 and V-8 engines, every A6 earns it first-class reputation. Real wood, leather and brushed aluminum are not scarce. The superb handling advantages of Audi’s Quattro all-wheel drive bless all but the front-drive base A6 model. And at the performance peak, the 435-bhp V-10 and Nappa leather sport seats in the Audi S6.
Audi A7 Sportback
Audi’s all-new-for 2011 A7 Sportback throws a little bit of everything into the design mix. The A7 is a 5-door, 4-seat hatchback with a coupe profile, a sedan’s demeanor and a very cool wide rear hatch that opens/closes electrically on station wagon-like cargo space. Featuring one engine (a 300-bhp supercharged V-6), one transmission (an 8-speed Tiptronic that elegantly improves both fuel economy and acceleration), and superb roadholding poise of Quattro all-wheel drive. And like all Audis, smart luxury and convenience features ring throughout the A7 interior.
All new for 2011, the A8 and long-wheelbase A8 L possess a sinister countenance, led by snarling headlights, a grille the size of a black hole, and standard 19-in wheels. Inside, roomy overindulgence rules, bathed in leather and wood. For 2011 include heated 19-way-adjustable power front seats, Bose surround-sound, and a touchpad nav system that reads your handwriting. Always at the ready are a 372-bhp V-8 and 8-speed automatic transmission.
Audi has added a 4-cylinder engine to the 2001 Audi Q5 luxury crossover line. the 200-bhp 2.0-liter four’s quick acceleration and gasoline-saving abilities benefit further from a new 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission. A 270-bhp V6 model with an edgier exterior and a 6-speed Tiptronic is also available, but less interesting now that the 4-cylinder drivetrain is here. Every 2011 Q5 treats you with style that includes leather seating, wood trim and the epic audio of an optional Bang & Olufsen sound system.
For 2011, Q7 interior indulgences are still a prime attraction. A supercharged 3.0-liter V-6 replaces last year’s V-6 and V8 gasoline models. Tuned to 272-bhp in the base Q7 and 333 bhp in the further-upscale Q7 “S line”, this new-to-the-Q7 engine offers slightly less horsepower but significantly more torque for towing than the outgoung engines. For diesel lovers, the Q7 TDI offers decent diesel mpg numbers (17/25) and 406 lb-ft. of stump-pulling torque.
Audi R8/R8 Spyder
2011 is new chapter in the story of Audi’s mid-engine, all-wheel-drive dream car, the R8. The least of the news is that the R8 coupe’s V-8 engine gets a modest bump in bang, up to 430 horsepower. Bigger news is that the V-8 will finally find its way into the R8 Spyder convertible sometime during the year, joining the V-8 coupe and the 525-bhp 5.2-liter V-10 coupe and Spyder. Looking like sin waiting to happen outside, R8 coupe and Spyder are pure Nappa leather luxury within.
2011 moder year turns up the exterior aggressiveness of the Audi TT and TTS sport coupes and convertibles, especially at the front end, with extra snarl added to the grilles of both. TTs get new 18-in. wheels, while TTS models roll on 19-in. Leather with roomy 10-way power front sport seats. Quattro all-wheel-drive, and the confidence that awd delivers, is standard on every TT and TTS. Motivation for both comes from a turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine that dispenses all of 265 bhp at its peak.
