The AA cat back exhaust system is a fine exhaust system that will deliver a deeper sound, increased torque and horsepower. Many hours of design, testing and fitting were conducted for a clean fit and finish.
Locate the 6 pins that hold the rear valance along the back side lower edge. Remove them so that the valance can be moved easily in a downward direction.
This will allow for an easier removal of the stock exhaust and installation of the AA exhaust. Use a flat screwdriver to pry off
Remove the pipe connections where the pipes go into the stock rear muffler.
Remove the nuts that hold the exhaust hangers to the body of the car.
Lower the exhaust and push it towards the rear allowing the exhaust pipes to come loose and clear the connection.
Lower the exhaust from the car in a forward/downward direction.
After the exhaust is on the floor, take note of the mounts on the stock exhaust, you will see that it is not symmetrical, remove them and install them on the AA exhaust making sure that they are installed in the same configuration.
Before installing the AA exhaust, locate the left most pipe on the car and make sure that the “ring” gasket that slides over the pipe is free to move.
This gasket needs to be able to move forward and backwards so that the other pipe will seal properly against the Metal factory ring on the right side pipe.
Raise the exhaust in an upward/forward direction while aligning the left side pipe . Align the mounts over the studs and catch all nuts. Tighten the nuts.
Install the metal ring gasket in the right side pipe and catch the 2 bolts. Tighten all the connection bolts.
Note: you will need to use the 4 supplied nuts and washers from AA.
