I have a bmw m3 e46 343 hp and would like to know how can i bring up the horsepower without installing a turbo, supercharger, or nitrous? What can I do? and how much hp can i gain?
- Put a cold air intake and a full catback exhaust and some nice header such as comtech or dc …all this might give u about 15-35hp in about $2000.
- If you are not already using these products, change your air and oil filters to the K & N brand. Their air filter is expensive, but it is cleanable and will improve horsepower somewhat. Check K & N’s website for more detailed information. I also use Royal Purple synthetic motor oil which will also increase your horsepower.
- Reprogram or replace the cars computer. theres plenty of aftermarket ones and they can give some nice gains in power and fuel consumption. although you’ll have to get a performance workshop to reprogram the computer for you.
it can be costly though.
- Well, you can always install a brand new exhaust system. That will boost your car up a couple of horses.
