I have tried the key, the remote, and the release button in the car. I also checked the valet lock to make sure the it wasn’t on.
- 1999, you might try onstar even if you are not a subcriber they can still open it…for a fee.
taking the back seat out won’t help…it’s a caddy, not a caprice.
you could try putting 12 volts (+) to the release button in the glove box. it does not matter which side of the switch in the glove box you go to, just push the button as you do it. good luck.
- I would take out the back seats, go in there with a flashlight and see if you cant see whats wrong.
There are usually cables that unlock the release, try pulling cables around.
- A drill??? Honestly, you need to take it to a place that services Caddies in order to get it corrected the right way!!! Good luck.
