The HygroStat MB is a thermo-hygrostat built in a robust industrial housing. Two relay outputs allow simple tasks such as the switching of dryers, humidifiers, etc. The internal clock of the HygroStat MB can be used to enable or disable operation of the relays during specific hours of the day. The HygroStat MB can operate as a stand alone unit or it can be connected to a network driven by a PC with the ROTRONIC HW4 software. Depending on the model, the following network interface combinations are available: RS-232 / RS-485 and Ethernet (TCP/IP) - wired or wireless / RS-485.
The HygroStat MB features a single probe input, suitable for use with any industrial HygroClip digital probe (see note below). Depending on the model of HygroClip probe, the HygroStat MB can be used in applications where conditions at the probe are within the range of 0 to 100 %RH and -50 to 200°C (-58 to 392°F). The probe should be ordered separately from the HygroStat MB and is installed / connected by the user.
Note: The HygroStat MB transmitter is not compatible with the ROTRONIC HygroClip intrinsically safe (Ex) probes.
The HygroStat MB can be set to compute one of the following psychrometric parameters. Dew point (Dp), Frost point (Fp), Wet bulb temperature (Tw), Enthalpy (H), Vapor concentration (Dv), Specific humidity (Q), Mixing ratio by weight (R), Vapor concentration at saturation (Dvs), Vapor partial pressure (E), Vapor saturation pressure (Ew). Some of the above parameters require barometric pressure as an input. A fixed pressure value can be specified as part of the HygroStat MB settings. When connected to a network, the HygroStat MB can transmit the following signals: relative humidity, temperature, user selectable calculated parameter such as dew point and the logical state of the two relays.
