FITTING YOUR BOV 300ZX ADAPTOR
Note: Please thoroughly read and understand both these instructions and the fitting instructions supplied with your BOV before commencing this installation.
Step 1. Locate the two boost hoses.
Step 2. Loosen the factory hose clamps securing the boost hoses to the intercooler pipe and throttle body.
Step 3. Loosen the factory hose clamps securing the boost hose on the left side as shown.
Step 4. Remove the boost hoses from both sides.
Step 5. Pre-assemble the right aluminium pipe, the 2” Silicon coupler and the 2.25” Silicon coupler as shown using the hose clamps supplied. Do not fully tighten clamps to allow some adjustment during installation.
Step 6. Pre-assemble the left aluminium pipe, the 2” Silicon coupler and the 2.25” Silicon coupler as shown using the hose clamps supplied. Do not fully tighten clamps to allow some adjustment during installation.
Step 7. Insert pre-assembled pipe kits to replace the factory boost pipes just removed. Use the short pipe on the right side as shown.
Step 8. Insert pre-assembled long pipe on the left side as shown. Only loosely secure both pipe assemblies in place with supplied hose clamps.
Step 9. Install your Turbosmart BOV onto the left side pipe by following the instructions included with the BOV. With the BOV located with adequate clearance between engine parts, tighten all four hose clamps to secure in place.
Step 10. Install your Turbosmart BOV onto the right side pipe by following the instructions included with the BOV. With the BOV located with adequate clearance between engine parts, tighten all four hose clamps to secure in place.
Step 11. Connect the two pre-assembled silicon hose assemblies as shown in the diagram below by following steps 12-17. The long 900mm version fits on the left side of the engine and the 700mm version on the right.
Step 12. Locate the factory boost/vacuum sources as shown below. See step 13 & 16 for detailed location.
