Nissan Maxima (Non-Folding Rear Seat) Child Safety Seat Fit Guide

November 9th, 2009 · No Comments

This guide is designed to help you select and properly install a child safety seat compatible with your 2009 Nissan Maxima (Non-Folding Rear Seat). To compile this list, our safety engineers fitted numerous Child Restraint Systems (CRS), including infant restraints, forward-facing child seats, booster seats and their combinations.

CHILD SAFETY SEAT FIT GUIDE
If properly installed, the CRS noted below have proven to fit securely in the rear seating locations using either the LATCH (Lower Anchors and Tethers for CHildren) System, where available, or the vehicle’s seat belt. Always refer to the instructions provided with the CRS and your vehicle’s Owner’s Manual when installing. You may also find the accompanying General Installation Tips helpful.

- In accordance with Nissan’s commitment to safety, customers should be aware that child safety seats may be subject to recall by the manufacturer. Nissan encourages all customers to check the manufacturer web site and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) web site for current recall information prior to purchasing a child safety seat.
- Please keep in mind that air bags are a supplemental restraint system and always must be used in conjunction with a seat belt.
- A rear-facing child restraint must never be placed in the front-passenger seat. An inflating supplemental air bag could seriously injure or kill your child.
- All children 12 and under should ride in the rear seat properly secured in child restraints, booster seats, or seat belts, according to their size.
