Nissan Xterra Cargo Liner Installation Instructions

November 15th, 2009 · No Comments

Your new floor liner is custom molded to fit your particular vehicle. The liner is made to take the place of your factory floor mats. For correct fit, it is necessary to remove the factory floor mat before installing your new floor liner. However, do not remove the factory-installed carpeting. Your liner is made from an engineering resin that is lightweight and extremely tough and durable. The easiest way to clean your liner is with a damp cloth or sponge. If using a cleaner, 409о or Glass Plusо work well. Use of Armor Allо, Son-of-a-Gunо or similar items is discouraged as these products make the liner slick.

If your xterra is equipped with the utili-track cargo channel system, you can access this option with your cargo liner in place. Here’s how:
First, note that your cargo liner has a molded in rib that completely surrounds the area above each track. Simply trim the tread plated material (shown above darkened) from the bottom of each of these “moats” and then install your cargo liner. The moats will surround the tracks and prevent liquid from running under the liner. A photo of the trimmed part is shown on the back of this page. Xterra’s come equipped with small cargo net that is located directly behind the driver’s side wheel well. You can access the two (2) cargo net anchors with your liner in place (areas shown above circled). To do so, simply remove the material from two lowered “u-shaped” areas in front of these anchors. A utility knife or heavy shears works well for trimming.
